Tiangong Classroom Lesson 2

On the afternoon of March 23rd, the China Manned Space Engineering Office, in collaboration with the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Central Radio and Television Administration, jointly launched the second space lecture on "Tiangong Classroom", which was broadcasted globally by the Central Radio and Television Administration. Three Shenzhou 13 astronauts, Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, and Ye Guangfu, collaborated to complete the second lesson of "Tiangong Classroom".



The second lesson of the "Tiangong Classroom" continues to adopt a dialogue between heaven and earth. Astronauts will demonstrate the space "ice and snow" experiment, liquid bridge demonstration experiment, water oil separation experiment, and space parabolic experiment in orbit, introducing and showcasing space science facilities, inspiring the enthusiasm of young people to continuously pursue the "science dream" and achieve the "space dream".

The third experiment in the second lesson of "Tiangong Classroom" - Water Oil Separation Experiment.


 In the experiment, the astronaut teacher and the students on the ground shook the bottles containing water, oil, and liquid respectively to compare the phenomena of the heaven and earth experiment.


After shaking the water and oil liquids on the ground, there was a noticeable layering, while the water and oil liquids did not layer after the space station shook. Then, through interaction with classmates, the astronaut teacher used an "artificial centrifuge" to achieve layering of water and oil liquids in the space station.
