The 2018 Summer Science Experiment Class is Opening
Just yesterday, our 2018 summer science experiment class began~
This week's courses are "Homemade Solar System" and "Glowing Drum", which sounds very interesting

The children arrived at the class location early, and the first grade children were playing games. The classroom temporarily became a game park; Senior brothers and sisters each have a science book, swimming freely in the ocean of scientific knowledge.

The vast universe, beautiful galaxies, always arouse our infinite longing... The beautiful planet we inhabit - Earth, is an ordinary planet in the solar system, which is mainly composed of stars, planets, and asteroids. Each of the eight major planets has its own unique charm, such as: Mercury does not have water; Mars appears fiery red, but its temperature is extremely low; Saturn has a unique Saturn ring...) And the Sun, as the center of the solar system, provides light and heat energy for our Earth. After learning about planets, stars, and their differences in detail, the children also got to know meteors, comets, and so on, and finally worked together to create a model of the solar system. The solar system model is not only an experimental equipment for this class, but children can create a unique artwork based on their knowledge and imagination~

The lesson "Luminous Small Drum" starts with the history and function of drums (most of the drums used in ancient times were used for worship, combat, hunting, etc., until the Zhou Dynasty, when the Eight Tones appeared, drums entered the ranks of musical instruments). It also discusses the origin of words such as "one drum to work hard" and "encouragement", and then understands the types of drums (Chinese drums, military drums, frame drums, etc.), and then introduces the protagonist of this lesson - Luminous Small Drum. The children recalled the composition of a simple circuit (power supply, wires, switches, appliances) and the functions of each part together. Then, they observed the circuit composition inside the luminous drum and learned about a new type of switch - a magnetic switch, which mainly relies on a magnet to control the opening or closing of the reed tube inside. After understanding the principle, we entered the production stage. Of course, the production of the small drum this time has a high degree of difficulty for first-grade children, but the children are brave enough to challenge themselves and strive to complete the work in class~
