Exploring Science and Flying Dreams - A Science Carnival with Splendid Joy
During May Science Popularization Week, Hefei primary and secondary schools organized exciting science and technology activities. Teachers from Liwen Science Popularization and Innovation Studio were invited to the following primary schools and held nine consecutive Science Carnival series activities to explore science face-to-face with children and share fun!
First stop: Hefei Weigang Primary School
On April 8th and 9th, 2021, the first stop of the Science Carnival was held at Weigang Primary School in Hefei City! This event marks the beginning of the 7th Science and Technology Reading Festival of Weixiao, aiming to promote the spirit of science, stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning science, establish scientific awareness, and improve their thinking abilities. 01.Science Microfilm Appreciation
Youth science microfilms are a way for teenagers to participate in filming, production, and explore science through the lens, which can be said to be "small papers written on the screen".
02.Science Magic Show
Science Magic Show students transform into little magicians. By letting students blow bubbles with carbon dioxide, they understand that carbon dioxide is a colorless and odorless gas. At the same time, they also know that carbon dioxide can exist in solid form, commonly known as "dry ice", which can be used for dry cleaning, making stage clouds, and extinguishing fires.
Second stop: Haitang Garden Campus, Changjiang Road Third Primary School, Hefei City
On the afternoon of May 13, 2021, we arrived at Haitang Primary School in Hefei! The activity starts at 3:30 pm. As soon as the class is over, the children participating in the activity gather in the conference hall in an orderly manner. The students are enthusiastic and looking forward to the various scientific experimental works and technological invention works displayed in the conference hall with curiosity. They are all looking forward to this technology project experience activity.

01.Exhibition of Experimental Works by Scientific Societies
Science club students have conducted various interesting small experiments, including telescopes, magic boxes, dinosaur fossils, tornadoes, fruit and vegetable power generation, Hawaii speedboats, and so on. In each experimental class, students not only make hands-on experiments, but also explore science and understand the underlying scientific principles under the guidance of the teacher.
02.Technological inventions
What is invention? The original inventions can be divided into two categories. The first category is the invention of new methods, such as a chef inventing a new method of cooking dishes; The second type is the invention of new things, such as cars that did not exist before and were invented through people's creativity.
03.Science Magic Show
The whole audience recited 'Bubble, Bubble, Rise' together, and our little magician transformed into a big bubble. This was a close encounter with science. The wonderful magic performance not only stunned the entire audience, but also attracted many other students from extracurricular activities to watch.
The third stop - Hefei Xingfu Road Primary School
On the morning of May 19, 2021, the "Colorful Science Flying Dreams" Science Week series of activities at the Xingfu Road Branch of Heping Primary School in Hefei officially began in the fantastic science magic show.
01.Science Magic Show
Science Magic Show allows children to experience the magical effects brought by science up close. The miraculous chemical reaction shrouded the scene in clouds and mist, as if in a fairyland, riding the clouds and mist. The children were so excited that they screamed incessantly. The entire activity was also interspersed with multiple interactive links, allowing children to confidently showcase their scientific knowledge learned from the classroom, books, and experiments, and explain magical phenomena with science.
02.Science Microfilm
The science micro film "Fruit and Vegetable Power Generation" has made students exclaim that common fruits and beverages in daily life can also be used for power generation, and it has also taught students to use their learned scientific knowledge and innovative thinking methods to create their own small inventions and strive to become small park makers.
03.Highlights of Scientific Experimental Courses
The science experiment class documentary records the exciting moments of interesting small experiments among students in the science experiment class. Every hands-on experiment is an exploration of science; Every piece of work is the key to success.
04.Da Ke Lai Ke Pu
In the class, the students also watched a science popularization film brought by Professor Han Demin, a special expert from the Li Wen Science Popularization Experimental Class, from Anhui University Life Science College. It allowed the students to understand the past and present lives of the flowers, plants, and trees that are commonly seen in Hefei, which can be said to be full of harvest.
Fourth Station - Hefei Yuxin Primary School
On the morning of May 25, 2021, in warm sunshine, we arrived at Yuxin Primary School in Hefei to participate in the science and technology festival organized by Yuxin Primary School, with the theme of "founding the Party for a century, opening up new aviation, and building a new era with science and technology". We brought diverse popular science knowledge to students, allowing them to broaden their horizons, broaden their horizons, and have zero distance exposure to technology.

The teachers of the Science Magic Show and Liwen Science Popularization and Innovation Studio deeply felt the students' super love and enthusiasm for bubbles in their interactions with many classmates. During the process of transforming into a little magician, the children learned the magical mystery of creating a stage fairyland by warming up dry ice in an instant!
The Science Popularization Carnival series of activities in May ended happily among students and received recognition from the school.
